Cottage 8
York
Cottage 8 sits within easy reach of York's historic attractions—the Minster, Castle Museum and city walls are all close by—yet wakes to quiet countryside on the doorstep. Walking trails begin from the property itself. The cottage forms part of Murton Grange, a converted farmstead where eight properties share grounds that include a lawned garden and sitting area. You have sole use of a private hot tub for six people.
Inside, the open-plan ground floor combines living space with a kitchen equipped for real cooking: gas hob, electric range, dishwasher and microwave among the basics. There are three bedrooms upstairs—one with a double and single bed, another with two singles, and a third with a double and single—plus two shower rooms across the property. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included. The cottage sleeps eight and welcomes one pet. Private parking for four cars is on site.
York itself offers museums, racecourse events and riverside walks, while the wider region holds stately homes at Castle Howard and Beningbrough Hall, and market towns including Malton and Helmsley. No smoking inside the property, please.
