Cottage on the Green
York
Cottage on the Green is a Grade II listed building positioned on Acomb Green in the historic suburbs of York. The cottage comprises two bedrooms and a bathroom on its upper floor, with a sitting room and kitchen-dining room below. A wood burner warms the living area through cooler months, while an enclosed courtyard with garden furniture provides outdoor space. The property sleeps four and is yours entirely for the duration of your stay.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave and washing machine. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all included in your stay. One well-behaved dog is welcome at no extra cost. Smoking is not permitted indoors. A pub lies within walking distance, and local shops and a restaurant sit about 350 yards away. Regular bus services from nearby Acomb connect you directly into York's city centre in minutes, making the full spread of attractions—from the Minster and Castle Museum to independent shops and restaurants—easily accessible without needing a car.
The cottage does feature steep, narrow stairs, so is best suited to guests who are comfortable navigating them. Parking is available on road. Check-in is from 15:00 and checkout before 10:00.
