Lovely pub with a really warm and welcoming atmosphere. The drinks were great, the place was clean and cosy, and the service by Isla was excellent. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very comfortable throughout our visit. Definitely a place worth visiting again!

The rooms were spot on, lots of room for a couple. Staff were friendly, good selection of beers. Good check out time. The only let down was the food. We both ordered the fisherman’s baskets as they sounded amazing, unfortunately they looked like they were bought from iceland and deep fried! For £18 i expected it to be fresh. We decided against having breakfast there the next day!

Lovely hotel in the heart of the Lakes! Check in was made easy thanks to the lovely Victoria and the breakfast by Tom the next morning was incredible! We decided to have a drink at the bar before going upstairs and Shane was amazing - poured us an absolutely perfect pint of Asahi and had great craic! A total hidden gem of Ambleside - 5 star!

Favourite place in Ambleside! The staff (especially Megan & Jordan) are so chatty - in the best way. Perfect location, always a good pint, solid food for after a long day walking. Just like a home away from home. Thank you Megan for always greeting us with a smile :)
