What visitors say
Bath is an incredibly beautiful and charming city, filled with remarkable landmarks and stunning architecture. Our first stop was the Visitor Information Centre, where the staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They took the time to mark all of their recommendations in a booklet, providing detailed explanations of each attraction, which made planning our visit so much easier. After exploring Bath on foot, we decided to take the hop-on, hop-off bus tours, and it was absolutely worth it. The first driver we met was extremely helpful, explaining that each route lasted around 45–50 minutes and that payment was by card only. He recommended doing both the Skyline Tour and the City Tour. We purchased tickets for two adults and our dog, with both tours included, for just £38. We were given a map and complimentary earphones before setting off. We began with the Skyline Tour, which took us beyond the city centre to places such as Claverton Down and the American Museum, offering fantastic views over Bath. Afterwards, we joined the City Tour, which passed many of Bath's iconic attractions, including the Royal Crescent, the Circus, and the area around the Roman Baths. It was excellent value for money and a great way to see the city from a different perspective. We often use hop-on, hop-off buses when we're away on short breaks, and Bath's service is one of the best we've experienced. The staff were consistently friendly, and being able to board at any stop made getting around incredibly convenient. We used concession tickets that were valid for two days, allowing us to explore at our own pace. The routes cover all of Bath's major sights, and you can easily change buses to visit places such as Prior Park. We even used the buses to return to our accommodation, which saved us the uphill walk after a full day of sightseeing. I'd highly recommend using the bus tour at the start of your visit. Stay on for a complete circuit first to get your bearings and decide which attractions you'd like to explore. Then, on the second loop, you can make the most of the hop-on, hop-off service. It's a fantastic, relaxing way to discover everything Bath has to offer.

Booked the tour for my parents visiting Bath from abroad, expecting that the tour is available in multiple languages like in all other cities we’ve been to. Beware it only runs in English in Bath! Apparently the tour has recently been re-recorded and translations are not yet done (as of June 2026). Even though the City Sightseeing manager on site advised us to cancel and get a refund, our request was rejected without an apology or explanation. We paid £93 for a service that was not provided. Disappointing customer service to say the least. We never had such a bad experience with these tours in other cities. Should have paid attention to the much lower ratings it gets in Bath…. Now we know why!

Bath is extremely beautiful and charming with lots of remarkable landmarks. It's a city I told my husband we should plan to stay during Christmas in the near future after our visit. The information centre is really helpful & informative and the staff was friendly & welcoming. They used their booklet to mark all of their recommendations with a detailed explanation. We enjoyed our time in Bath.
