What guests say
“Our go-to place in Bath – a truly special experience.” I had another wonderful stay at Edgar Townhouse in Bath , and it certainly won’t be my last! The location is excellent: perfectly positioned near the city center, yet situated in a quiet, elegant, and architecturally beautiful area. The hotel itself is peaceful and refined. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, going above and beyond to accommodate all of our requests. They provided excellent recommendations for our stay—especially for my sister's birthday dinner, which was outstanding. They were also extremely helpful in organizing our transport to the airport. Breakfast was a highlight: varied, fresh, and of high quality. I have chosen this B&B before, and I will definitely be returning. A huge thank you to the entire staff for making our stay so special!

This was a perfect stay for 2 couples for 2 nights. The location is terrific...just a 10 minute walk to everything. The rooms were comfortable but they do vary quite a bit. We had room 17 which was down 1 flight of stairs and was large with a large shower, closet and mini fridge. The view was in the back with a large window which made it sunny and bright. The other room was room 3...upstairs with 2 twin beds facing the street. Smaller but efficient. The shower was quite small so people of size might prefer a double superior room. The water pressure throughout was excellent and hot water waa very hot! Bring a washcloth if that is important to you. The body wash and shampoo were nice. As others noted, there is no lift/elevator and you could have several flights to access your room. The breakfast each morning was perfect for any appetite from a full English breakfast to omelets and continental. The coffee is excellent. All in all a perfect stay in a lovely inn.

Amazing place! Perfectly located, close to everything. My room and the overall décor were absolutely charming - warm, cozy, and very inviting. It was ideal for a solo trip, and I felt very safe throughout my stay. I didn’t purchase breakfast, but every morning there was an incredible, divine smell coming from the dining room, so it must have been delicious! The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. I truly had a wonderful time and would happily stay here again.

Excellent location about 3 mins walk from the town. Very quiet and the room was comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and if you book the Thermae Spa through them you can get a discount. They recommended a place to park which was local and very reasonably priced. If you eat at The Circus Restaurant the hotel has a voucher for a free glass of fizz. Free bottled water and plenty of tea and coffee in the room. Good choices for breakfast. Very flexible with being able to leave luggage before and after check in/out times.
