About No.15 by GuestHouse, Bath
No.15 by GuestHouse spreads across three Grade I listed townhouses on Great Pulteney Street, the broad Georgian boulevard that runs from Pulteney Bridge towards the Holburne Museum. The exterior is unchanged, but inside the hotel is deliberately playful: antique furniture is mixed with contemporary art, curiosity cabinets and bold colour, and the effect is closer to a private collection than a traditional country-house hotel.
The 40 or so bedrooms are all different, ranging from compact classic rooms to suites with roll-top baths and hand-painted murals. Standard fittings include coffee machines, good linen and generously sized bathrooms with the house bath products. Rooms at the front look onto Great Pulteney Street; those at the back are quieter and overlook the garden.
The Spa at No.15 occupies stone vaults beneath the building and has a hydrotherapy pool, cedar hot tub, barrel sauna and treatment rooms, and it has won recognition in national spa awards. Above ground there is Cafe 15 for breakfast and all-day eating, Bar 15 for cocktails, and a lounge that serves a well-regarded afternoon tea. The hotel is part of the small GuestHouse group, which also runs properties in Brighton and York.
Great Pulteney Street is about seven minutes' walk from Bath Abbey across Pulteney Bridge, which puts the Roman Baths, the Guildhall Market and the main shopping streets within easy reach while keeping the hotel away from the busiest part of the centre. It suits couples and friends looking for somewhere with character rather than uniformity, and anyone who wants a spa and a decent bar in the same building. Limited on-site parking is available and should be reserved in advance.
What guests say
We booked our wedding at the hotel on a whim without even visiting beforehand, which felt like a huge leap of faith at the time. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions we made. From the very beginning, Lucy made the entire planning process seamless and stress-free. She was always on hand to answer questions, offer guidance, and ensure every detail came together exactly as we wanted. When we arrived, the hotel exceeded every expectation. The venue is stunning, the rooms are beautifully appointed, and the atmosphere throughout our stay was warm, welcoming, and relaxed. Our room was especially lovely and provided the perfect space to unwind and get ready on the morning of the wedding, making the whole experience feel even more special. A heartfelt thank you to Lucy and the entire team for making our celebrations so memorable. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, and both we and our guests felt genuinely cared for from start to finish. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the hotel was and how friendly, attentive, and welcoming the staff were throughout their stay. The children absolutely loved it too and the pantry was a fabulous touch. What stood out most was how hard everyone worked behind the scenes to make everything perfect while making it all look effortless. Their care, professionalism, and attention to detail allowed us to relax, enjoy every moment, and create memories that we’ll treasure forever. We cannot wait to return ❤️

Truly such an incredible hotel and just the loveliest of staff! The moment you walked in the door, you found you instantly relaxed and felt you were staying at your home away from home. We stayed with the No15 Team for 4 nights to celebrate my husbands 40th and we cannot tell you enough just how brilliant the hotel was. Even before our stay, the team went above and beyond to help me with organising surprises for my husband to celebrate his birthday and making recommendations on where to visit and what to see. I would like to say a particular thanks to Ellen and Agnes from the reception team. The location is truly second to none. Being on Great Pulteney Street puts you just minutes from the heart of the city centre but also in a beautiful, peacefully picturesque location that meant there was no noise from the city life going on just minutes down the road. We stayed in a larger guest room and golly, what a gorgeous room! The bathroom was equally just as gorgeous and offered both a fantastic waterfall shower as well as a huge bath to pick from. Housekeeping were brilliant at popping in and out throughout our stay to ensure we were well stocked with fresh towels and that our room was spotlessly clean. We made use of the restaurant each morning for breakfast where we found there to be such a brilliant range of choices each morning, that we tried a different delicious dish each day. We also sat and unwound in the bar at the end of the day, either with just a drink or with some snacks as well and used the range of board games the hotel had on offer for guests to use. The spa is simply a must if you visit; we booked the Copper Room Treatment for Two and the moment we walked into the room, we were wowed by the setup. The massages we had post copper bath were heavenly and truly helped to work out any extra tension so we could completely relax. We booked the car park right after booking with the team - something you absolutely need to do, as there are only limited spaces - which was secure and behind the hotel and just so handy to have. We cannot recommend No.15 enough, it is our new home from home in Bath and worth every penny! We will most definitely be staying here in future whenever we visit Bath.

Didn't stay at the hotel, but was here with my partner for the spa. This is our 3rd session for the copper bath treatment, and as per usual it was absolutely divine. Facilities are fabulous, a short walk from where we were staying. Our therapists were lovely and talked us through everything. Treatments themselves were outstanding; head shoulder and back massage for both of us and facial for me and a bespoke arm and hand treatment for my other half. Everything was classy from start to finish and always a reason why we come back whenever we come to Bath. We will be back again. Thank you for making the experience as relaxing and calm as always.

We had a wonderful stay at Number 15 and could not have chosen a better place to celebrate a special milestone. The upgrade to a larger room was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. The house itself is beautifully presented, combining character and comfort in equal measure. Breakfast was excellent, with high-quality ingredients and plenty of choice, while the service throughout our stay was warm, attentive and effortlessly professional. A memorable stay in Bath, and somewhere we will happily return to.
