About LimeHouse

LimeHouse occupies a Regency-era townhouse on New Steine, four storeys tall and considerably more compact in scale than the grand seafront hotels nearby. With only 8 rooms and suites, it has the feel of a small, characterful stay rather than a big hotel operation, and the decor throughout leans bright and contemporary against the period architecture.

Rooms come with free WiFi as standard, and breakfast is available to start the day. There's a garden for guests who want a bit of outdoor space, 24 hour reception for flexible arrivals, and luggage storage if you're exploring before check-in or after check-out. Free on-site parking is a genuine convenience in a city where street parking can be difficult.

The location on New Steine puts Brighton Pier and the Royal Pavilion within easy reach, making LimeHouse a practical base for exploring the seafront and the city's main sights on foot.

We had a lovely stay at the Lime House. A fantastic location in Brighton. The room was bright and open and it's obvious that a lot of thought has gone into décor of the rooms. All the necessary amenities were provided - hairdryer, fan, kettle for a cuppa. The beds were sumptuously comfortable. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.

We had a great stay at LimeHouse - amazing location and I think we had one of the best rooms with beautiful wooden floorboards and a view of the sea from the bay windows that let lots of light in with the shutters open. The photos on the website are no exaggeration. My girlfriend choose this place because of the great location and we weren't disappointed - it's about 5/10 minutes from everything, maybe a bit more to the train station. The rooms were incredibly clean which I really like and the staff very helpful and Anna was especially friendly. They also recommended a lot of breakfast spots as they don't serve it which I quite liked as you get to a few different local cafes.

My wife, daughter and I took advantage of school vacation and sunny weather to spend a few days in Brighton, and booked into Limehouse. We were absolutely thrilled that we did! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful, and showed us to a lovely sunny room on the second floor. The room itself was warm in all respects - it was surprisingly spacious with a bay window through which we could see the sea, a large, very comfortable bed, a modern and clean en-suite bath, and a sofa on which to drop after a long day of exploring. What made it special were the little touches - the coffee selection, the little decorations, the selective use of color, all of which made it feel more like a home than a room. The location. Is perfect - the inn is located in a square only 6-7 short blocks from the Brighton pier, and the seafront is literally at the end of the road, perhaps a 45 second walk if you stop to chat along the way. The square itself contains a large garden in the center, so despite being in the midst of Brighton there is a peaceful feel as if you are a bit away from it all. And at the top end of the road are some very good restaurants, shops, and anything you may need. We loved our stay, and were actually quite attached to the place and sorry to leave. But we will be going back again and again.

A lovely place to stay in Brighton, the staff went out of their way to help us. It was the first break with our baby, so it was a challenge but made so much easier with the help we had from the staff here. A lovely large room, sea views, comfy bed, clean, great price. The only reason it isn't a 5 star review (and this is quite a niche reason!) is that the floor was quite creaky and the light from the sign outside came through the window until it was turned off at 21:30. Not the most soundproof of rooms, but the traffic slows around 20:00 anyway. Lots of restaurants, shops and sights all walkable from here. Parking on the Square outside was easier than I thought - if there's none available, just do a couple of laps and there's always one that becomes available. Would we stay here again? Definitely, yes. Thank you all at LimeHouse!
