Bron Elan

Photo: 1 Bron Elan Cottage

You enter Bron Elan through a small porch into a living and dining room warmed by a wood burner set in an original inglenook. A television and DVD player are here; the kitchen, fitted with an electric cooker and microwave, sits adjacent. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two singles—and a shower room. The cottage sleeps four and comes with bed linen, Wi-Fi, and initial logs for the fire; electricity is metered.

Outside, a raised patio with furniture opens directly off the road, and a path leads down to a rear garden shared with neighbouring properties. The terrain has some level changes. One dog can stay free. The village of Dolwyddelan sits in Gwydir Forest Park under Moel Siabod, with the River Lledr running through. A pub is within walking distance, and Betws-y-Coed—with shops and restaurants—lies 5 miles away. The area suits walkers and those wanting to explore; Dolwyddelan Castle is the village's 13th-century landmark. The Ffestiniog steam railway and Snowdonia's outdoor attractions are nearby, as are beaches on the Llŷn Peninsula and Portmeirion's architectural village. No smoking is permitted.
