Gwydir Forest Park wraps around Dolwyddelan, a village where walking trails begin at the gate and the Snowdonia uplands dominate every view. Garthfain sits within reach of this landscape—the pub and shops are a short walk away, and the coast is just over half an hour's drive. The cottage holds four people across two bedrooms: one with a kingsize bed, one with two singles. There is one bathroom on the ground floor, with a separate toilet upstairs.
The ground floor is open plan: a living space with Freeview and a multi-fuel burner, dining area, and a kitchen equipped to cook from scratch. A back garden has a sitting area and furniture to face the views. One car parks on site, though unloading happens at the door. Bed linen, towels, electricity and Wi-Fi are covered; initial fuel for the burner is too. One dog stays free.
This is somewhere to base yourself for forest walks, mountain exploration or simply the peace of the hills. The lack of smoking keeps the air clear, and being the whole property to yourself means no shared spaces or neighbours within the cottage walls.

· Where do I start? Absolutely stunning cottage in the most charming village. We've had such a blast. Self check in was great. Keys are allocated in secure key box, instructions send via message, super easy to follow. Along with house key you're getting padlock key to your secure parking space. Peace of mind and short walk to the cottage. Cottage itself is absolutely stunning. Everything you need is provided. Kitchen appliances including fridge, cooker with oven, toaster, dishwasher, well stocked kitchen cupboard with plates, glasses, pans etc. Literally everything you need is provided. Wood and lighters for wood burner, plenty of games and books to keep you occupied. TV including DVD player, Nextflix and You Tube. 2 bedrooms, very comfy beds, lovely night sleep. Had my morning coffee in the garden watching mountain view, so amazing. Location is perfect too. Short walk to the local shop and village pub with great food and drinks selection. Also very close to the rail station. Very quiet area, you can properly chill out. Evenings by the fireplace were my favourite. Super comfy chairs, sound of wood burning and little glass of wine, my kind of heaven. Can't praise enough. Fantastic place. We will definitely come back and will recommend to friends.
