2 Harney Peak

You walk straight into an open-plan living and dining space at 2 Harney Peak, with a well-equipped kitchen flowing naturally from the seating area. The master bedroom has an ensuite shower room; the second bedroom contains two double beds and connects to a separate family bathroom with a bath and shower. Everything is on one level, which means no stairs to negotiate after a day outdoors. Electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels come included. You have two dedicated parking spaces outside, and a shared drying room if needed.

The building was a former hotel in Portinscale, a village a mile south of Keswick in the Lake District. Walking distance takes you either into the town itself—where restaurants, pubs and shops line the streets—or down a footpath toward Derwentwater. A pub sits within a mile of the property. The location works equally well if you want to park up and explore on foot, or use Keswick as a base for visiting other parts of the lakes by car. Non-smokers only.
