This first-floor apartment occupies what was once a Lakeland hotel in Portinscale, a village within walking distance of Keswick. The conversion has retained the building's character while creating self-catering space for couples and families with children aged 12 and over. Two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a combined living and kitchen area make up the layout. One bedroom opens onto a small balcony; the other has a washing machine. Parking is available for two cars on site, and there's a shared bike store.

The open-plan ground-floor living space contains a sofa, dining table and a kitchen equipped for cooking proper meals—oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and coffee machine included. A Smart TV with Netflix is there for quieter evenings. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are all provided. One bedroom has an ensuite shower; the other shares a bathroom with bath, shower and heated towel rail. Flat paths lead down to Derwentwater's shore and into Keswick itself, where cafés, restaurants and shops are all within reach on foot. The fells rise beyond the lake.
