Joan’s Cottage
Cumberland
Joan's Cottage sits on elevated ground within Whinlatter's woodland, where the slopes rise around it and views open toward Skiddaw. The village setting is quiet and rural, with the property set back from the main activity, making it a retreat rather than a base for exploring nearby attractions. The grounds have significant drops and low walls; families with young children should be aware of this when supervising play.
The cottage is detached and entirely yours. Downstairs has a living and dining room with a gas fire, a second sitting room, a shower room, and a well-fitted kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine. Upstairs are three bedrooms: one with a double and single bed, one with a double, and one with two singles. There is also a bathroom with a bath and shower. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The grounds have a lawned garden with two paved patio areas and seating, and parking for three cars on site.
The cottage sleeps seven and suits extended families or groups of friends wanting their own space. A cot and highchair are available on request. No smoking throughout the property.
