Thwaite Hill Cottage
Cumberland
Thwaite Hill Cottage comes fully equipped for self-catering, with electricity, heating, wi-fi and all bed linen and towels included. The kitchen has an electric oven, induction hob, microwave and fridge-freezer for proper cooking; there's also a washer-dryer in the external utility room. Upstairs, the living and dining room centres on a woodburner (fuel available locally), with a TV, DVD and CD player. The cottage sleeps four across two double bedrooms on the ground floor, with a bathroom and separate toilet. One well-behaved pet stays free.
Set on the slopes of Whinlatter near Thornthwaite, this is genuinely quiet countryside, yet Braithwaite village—with its shop, pubs and restaurants—is just a mile away, and Keswick four miles. A terraced garden wraps around the cottage, with a decked porch area and on-road parking. Bike storage and a clothes drying area mean the place works well for outdoor visitors. The bathroom is accessed through one of the bedrooms, which suits families or couples rather than groups of unrelated adults.
