Oakvale - Oak Leaf

Oak Leaf suits couples after a quiet Lake District base. It's a single-bedroom property sleeping two, set within the gardens of Oakvale near Braithwaite village. The ground floor is arranged across split levels: a combined living and dining space with TV and DVD player opens onto a small patio with garden furniture, while the kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob and microwave for self-catering. The bedroom has a zip-and-link bed (available as two singles on request), and the bathroom includes a bath with shower overhead. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are covered in the rental.

Two pubs sit within the village, with a hotel and restaurant next door to the property itself. Keswick, two miles away, offers shops, attractions and access to Lake Derwentwater. More immediately, the Northern Fells are on your doorstep for walking and mountain biking, while Whinlatter has Go Ape and a visitor centre. A bus stop is a five-minute walk away. There is parking for one car on site and a garage with bike storage; a shared washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer are also available. No smoking is permitted inside.
