About DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh Airport
With the terminal and tram links just a short walk away, DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh Airport suits anyone catching an early flight or arriving late into the city. A golf course, plus nearby pubs and restaurants, give reason to venture out if time allows, while the hotel's own location means there's little need to rush anywhere before a journey.
The 185 rooms include family and accessible options, all air-conditioned and en-suite, with drinks in room and space that reviewers regularly single out as generous. Some rooms have been noted as tired in places, so it's worth setting expectations accordingly. A restaurant and bar cover meals on-site, with kids' meals and room service available, and breakfast served each morning.
Leisure facilities stretch to a gym, indoor pool and spa/sauna, useful for unwinding before or after a flight. Practical extras include luggage storage, laundry service, business and meeting facilities, concierge support, and chargeable on-site parking. Pets are welcome, and outdoor seating and a picnic area give a bit of fresh air without leaving the grounds.
What guests say
We checked in to the hotel on 30 June for 2 Nights and were warmly welcomed by Floni at the reception desk. From the moment we arrived, she was friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. She took the time to explain everything clearly and provided valuable guidance on how to travel to the city centre using the Airlink bus service. Her recommendations made our journey much easier and more convenient. We truly appreciated her excellent customer service, warm hospitality. She created a wonderful first impression of the hotel and made us feel welcome throughout the check-in process.

I had a very good stay in May at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Edinburgh Airport - with a very early morning flight to catch its proximity to the Airport was perfect. The Airport is only a short five minute or so walk away, or there is a regular shuttle bus from the hotel to the Airport which starts running from very early in the morning. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the room exceptionally clean and spotless, comfortable and fresh (it looked as if a new bathroom had been installed relatively recently) - you can even open the window a little to let some fresh air in should you wish which makes a change from so many other hotels where so often the windows are locked. The staff were helpful and friendly, and as a welcome on checking in you are offered a free cookie should you want it. Hot drinks were available in the room, as well as bottles of water. The evening meal was also very good, and I didn't need to wait long to be served despite it being busy. My only criticism was that the prices were quite steep. With an early flight I didn't stay for breakfast. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to others and will return.

I dined in the Olive Restaurant at the Doubletree Hotel and had a wonderful experience. With both the quality of the food and the level of service. Two individuals deserve praise. Both Monica and Serban were fantastic. They both were customer attentive and clearly committed to ensuring I had a very enjoyable dinner...even though the restaurant was extremely busy. That did not dissuade their 'customer first' attitude. Thank you for employing these exemplary employees.

You won't find nicer staff anywhere, from the busboys up to the front desk. Location is perfect for early morning flights. The restaurant served delicious meals, and the continental breakfast was a full English with plenty of pastries and fresh eggs. My room was not as clean as I'd like; the bathroom mirror was dirty, mildew in the shower, stained carpets, and a stain on the chair.

Some reviews mention the rooms can be poorly maintained.
