About Leonardo Edinburgh Murrayfield

Leonardo Edinburgh Murrayfield works well for match-day visitors, families and anyone wanting easy access to the city without staying right in the centre. Its location near Murrayfield Stadium makes it a practical base for rugby weekends, while Edinburgh Zoo and the wider city are both within easy reach thanks to good public transport links nearby.

The hotel has 111 rooms, including family and accessible options, all with en-suite bathrooms and the usual comforts such as free WiFi and room service. Guests have access to an indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym, along with a restaurant and bar on site serving breakfast and evening meals. That said, some rooms show their age and maintenance can be patchy, so it suits guests after solid facilities and a convenient base rather than a polished, boutique feel.

Free on-site parking is available, which helps for those driving in for a match or exploring further afield, and the hotel also offers meeting rooms and wedding facilities for events. Walking areas, pubs and restaurants nearby add to the practicality of the setting, with the city centre a short journey away.

A friendly hotel with nice facilities, quite corporate in style but very clean and well presented. The staff are very good, they seem young but charming, professional, helpful and knowledgeable. It isn’t really Murrayfield but it is only a 20 minute bus ride into the City, very easy and cheap. We will go again which is the best recommendation you can give.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location was great and made it easy to explore the area. The staff were always very friendly and welcoming, which made us feel comfortable from the start. The room was nice, clean, and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The bathroom was also well maintained and tidy. We also enjoyed the evening meal — very tasty and a nice way to end the day. Breakfast was okay, more of a simple standard breakfast, but considering the overall price-performance ratio, it was absolutely fair. Overall, a good hotel with friendly service and great value for money.

What amazing staff. The manager John was so helpful and went out his way to make sure I was looked after as I have a disability. Frazer the young gentleman at the bar was great. The skills he has for pouring drinks to details.i certainly can say John the manager and Frazer the bar staff deserve a pay rise. The room was perfect and mega clean. Definitely will be returning to this hotel only if John and frazer are there.

We had an amazing stay at the Leonardo Hotel Edinburgh Murrayfield. The food was absolutely delicious, and every meal we had was fresh and full of flavour. A special thank you to John McDonald, the manager, who truly made our stay exceptional. He was always available to help with anything we needed and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Our room was immaculate, spotless, comfortable, and very well looked after. The excellent service, fantastic food, and warm hospitality made our visit one to remember. We would happily stay again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Edinburgh!
