My husband and I stayed here for the first part of our Scotland trip and wish we would have just stayed here the entire time. Hilary was great and there to greet us when we arrived. It was absolutely beautiful! The room had everything we needed, a firm but comfortable bed, daily cleaning. Breakfast was offered, however we were out exploring before it was time to eat. We found the location to be conveniently in the middle of main sites to see. We walked everywhere but the public transportation is extremely close also. We would recommend Six Brunton Pl to anyone traveling to Edinburgh!

We originally selected Six Brunton as a place to stay for a week due to its central location. However, Hillary and Martin made our experience so much more than what we expected it to be! The room was beyond comfortable and quiet (which is welcomed after a day of exploration!) and breakfast each morning was refreshing, filling, and fresh. We appreciated the suggestions made by our kind hosts for when we first arrived, and enjoyed the small conversations each morning. We could not recommend Six Brunton Place more if we tried.

This guesthouse was truly one of the finest accommodations I have ever chosen. The atmosphere was exceptionally warm, nostalgic, and rich with a sense of history, creating a uniquely memorable stay. Enjoying breakfast and afternoon tea in an intimate room beside the fireplace was an especially charming and relaxing experience. The rooms were immaculately clean, thoughtfully designed, and beautifully furnished with great attention to detail. I felt an immediate sense of comfort and ease—so much so that it genuinely felt like being in my own home rather than a hotel. The bathroom was equally elegant, spotless, and well maintained. The location is outstanding: situated on a quiet street while remaining conveniently close to the city center and major tourist attractions. Everything is easily accessible, with approximately a 20-minute walk or just a 5-minute bus ride. The host was extremely welcoming, kind, and attentive. Despite traveling during the coldest days of the year, the room was perfectly warm and cozy throughout our stay. Overall, I cannot find a single fault with this place. I highly recommend it without hesitation and will most certainly choose to stay here again on future visits.

A beautiful, clean, and very cozy guesthouse. The host is incredibly kind and welcoming, making you feel like you’re staying in the home of someone you’ve known for years.
