About The Claremont Hotel

Claremont Crescent is a peaceful, residential stretch of Edinburgh, away from the bustle but still within easy reach of the city's transport links and main sights. The Claremont Hotel occupies one of its townhouses, giving guests a calm base with a walled garden to sit out in and an elegant lounge hung with artwork to relax in when the weather turns.

Rooms are bright and comfortably appointed, with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in room, and family rooms for those travelling with children. Breakfast is served on site, along with a bar and snack bar for lighter bites, and packed lunches can be arranged for days out. Free WiFi and free on-site parking are included, and luggage storage is handy for early arrivals or late departures. Pets are welcome, too.

Beyond the crescent, there's a pub, restaurant and other eateries within walking distance, along with entertainment options, walking areas, and golf and fishing nearby for those wanting to venture further afield. It's a quiet corner of the city that still keeps everything within reach.

Superb hotel with really high-quality bedrooms and brilliantly accommodating staff right in the heart of the leafy suburbs of the City of Brighton and Hove. The Artist Gallery feel to the hotel means that there is always something new to discover when I stay there. A definite recommend!

Was asked upon arrival if my dog would continue to bark, even though the hotel owners dog was barking directly at my dog and was told the guests wouldn’t like the noise. Later in the day, there’s a children’s party going on by the reception that you probably could’ve heard by the Pier!

A hidden gem in Brighton! If you want a cosy and personal hotel which doesn't feel like the usual chains, The Claremont should be on your list. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast service was great too. The walls are adorned with art by various local artists, many of which are stunning, and reasonably priced! And Alicia and Anna at the front desk were always super helpful. The location is very close to many of the central attractions, but not noisy or chaotic at all. Just steps from the beach. Highly recommend.

The Claremont went above and beyond for Afternoon Tea. We didn't stay there but wish we did because honestly, we had the most welcoming and great experience. My partner had a birthday celebration, not only did they gesture a cake with a candle and decorated for it, the wonderful lady serving us made sure we were well looked after by moving us and everything out in the garden for our convenience as well as checking up for naything we needed. The tea was absolutely delicious and fresh! Everything went so well and it was just a special day. We cannot comment on the rooms as we have not been but from images and description, look great! A gem to be recommended. They also celebrate artists by displaying interesting art for sale inside the foyer. Fabulous! So traditional, so english and so Brighton!
