About Travelodge Edinburgh Park

Travelodge Edinburgh Park is a low-rise, three-floor budget hotel built for practicality rather than period charm, with 70 en-suite rooms suited to overnight stops or longer city breaks. Rooms are clean and straightforward, with comfortable beds, air conditioning and family and accessible options available, plus a lift serving all floors and 24 hour reception for late arrivals.

On site there's a restaurant and bar for evening food and drinks, and breakfast is served each morning, though the selection is fairly basic rather than extensive. An electric vehicle charge point and free on-site parking, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, make it an easy choice for drivers, while pets are welcome for those travelling with animals.

The location works well for both business and leisure, with straightforward transport links into central Edinburgh and out to the airport. Nearby options include pubs, restaurants and a golf course, and staff are consistently noted as helpful and friendly, adding a personal touch to an otherwise no-frills stay.

I would give them maybe 2-stars but after their communication, nope. The location is ok, tram, train, bus, all near. The rooms are very small, bed no very comfortable. Generally it is ok, not perfect, not good, not nice, not the worst. Cleaning service doesn't exist, we have the card on the handle, that we would like their cleaning service, no one came, the cleaning lady came just the last morning before we should leave (a bit late and didn't need anymore, when we were leaving 1h later). We cancelled breakfast, during check in we even asked if the cancellation is ok and refundable, no problem and the receptionist said that all good and we get the refund probably in 5 days, not sure. For the cancellation we had a reason. Our 1.day of vacation we had also a different travelodge hotel for 1 night +that was worse than this one) and since their breakfast is the same, we didn't want that because there was nothing we could eat. No veggies, no fresh made porridge,... For the cancellation we even got a new recipe. But now they sent us a message that we don't get any refund. Anyway, just skip this hotel, there is no service, frozen food, their internet is limited (only 30min after you need to pay, it is slow, bad, I didn't even know there is still a hotel, which is charging for wi-fi). Many hotels have early check-in, it is almost always paid, but if you don't but it, come earlier and the room is ready, they just give you the key, not in Travelodge. Even if it's a few minutes, they don't give you the key if you don't pay extra. Summary, they charge you for everything, you get nothing and the customer service is rubbish

Decent rooms, what you would expect from travelodge. Was at concert at murrayfield and walked back. Would not advise. Took roughly an hour and a half. There is a bust stop across the road so decent public transport. Ordered a pizza what was the only hot food available after the concert but took an hour and a half to deliver to my room. By that time i was sleeping. Better of with an Ubereats or something similar. Man at desk was working himself so did advise that it might be a while but said maybe half an hour. There is a vending machine in foyer offering snacks and juice.

Prepaid £446.47 for a 3-night stay at Travelodge Edinburgh Park (14–17 July), including £64.50 for breakfast. I cancelled only the breakfast via their website, over a week in advance. Travelodge processed the cancellation, removed the breakfast, and reissued VAT invoice 131979868 showing the amount owed as £381.97 — £64.50 less than I paid. They kept the £64.50 anyway. When I queried it, customer services replied that "saver rate bookings are non-refundable" and declined to reconcile it — despite their own invoice stating I owe £381.97, not £446.47. To be clear: this isn't about a disputed policy. Their own invoice says £381.97. They charged £446.47. The difference was never refunded. (For what it's worth, the breakfast I cancelled it over — at the first Travelodge — was poor enough that I didn't want to pay for three more days of it.)

Not a good experience. The heating was out at the hotel was the rooms were freezing. That didn’t stop the windows being left open adding to the cold. Had to carry an electric heater to the room from reception. Breakfast was a shambles. They had 1 cook. And 1 person on reception/clearing tables. We had to clear our own table. We ate whatever trips and drabs made it out of the kitchen. The coffee machine was not working properly either. On the plus side there is ample parking. But will definitely not stay again.
