ibis budget Edinburgh Park

We stayed at ibis budget Edinburgh Park and it was a fantastic choice for a practical, clean and affordable spot in Edinburgh! Check-in was quick and friendly – the staff are really helpful and welcoming. The location is excellent: just minutes from the airport, right next to a train stop that takes you straight to the city centre. Close to shops and quick eats too. The room was compact (as expected for budget), but spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, great hot shower, good Wi-Fi, TV – everything worked perfectly. Towels were soft and the bathroom felt modern.

For the price and what you get? Great. Its clean, there are enough services to get a comfortable nights sleep. But beside the tv in our room the most luxurious thing is airconditioning. You get what you pay for. The staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is 5 pounds per 24 hours and can be done in front of the building.

Well the rooms are small. That was expected. Room for 3 with the "small" bed able to handle over 200lbs. As a family with a teenager just looking for a place to stay before an early flight, that works. Then you walk in and see that the shower is open to the entire room. It has a door, but you step out of the shower into the room. The toilet has a door. Surely there was a better way to do this. So we made due. You have to pay for parking. £5 for 24 hours. Not bad but it was a bit odd. As we're checking in I confirm we need to pay for parking since the signage states "reserved for hotel guests". The front desk confirms. Okay, no problem. The hotel clerk looks at me and says, are you going to go do that now? "No I'll get the bags up to the room first.." Their response "well you only have 30 minutes free before you are penalized".um... okay. Still have time to get the bags up to the room. It was just odd. I hope the hotel doesn't expect their front desk to police this and what? Write a ticket? Tow me? We paid it but it just added to the unwelcoming feeling of the hotel

Room very clean and comfy. And the service and the staff are absolutely outstanding – 100/10! The only downside is the high prices. In fact, some of the money from these high room rates should go straight to the people who make this place so special. They are the reason guests have such a great experience.
