Nether Cottage sits on rural grounds near Dunfermline, within reach of several golf courses including the 9-hole layout at Saline and championship Gleneagles 21 miles away. Stirling, Perth and Edinburgh are all within an hour's drive, and Culross—5 miles off—offers both history and outdoor exploration. The surrounding hills and lochs suit walking, cycling and fishing; Knockhill Racing Circuit is just over 6 miles away.
The cottage is ground-floor throughout, with two double bedrooms and a shower room. An open-plan living space contains a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, a dining area and a sitting room with a 32-inch TV. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. A travel cot and highchair are available on request. You have private parking for two cars and access to a sitting-out area within the enclosed garden; the surrounding 2½ acres of natural grounds are shared with the owner and another property on-site. The cottage is no-smoking.

Beautiful place to stay, in the deep countryside around Culross and Dunfermline

Very comfortable and quiet cottage just outside the village of Saline. Lounge, bedroom,.bathroom and kitchen area. Short 5 mile drive to Dunfermline where you can park your car for free at the railway station and hop on a train to explore Edinburgh. Stirling and Alloa are also in short driving distance. You can also explore the coast in and around Kirkcaldy, so a car is really recommended . The cottage really is in a quiet location and has a large garden and a small pond where you can sit on one of the benches and unwind. We also had a resident red squirrel that often turned up . It was a really pleasant place to stay.

Stayed here for 5 nights. Cozy, comfortable and quiet. Good break for us. Need a car to get around though and many towns within 1 hour drive.
