About Rothay Garden Hotel & Riverside Spa
Grasmere village puts walkers and cyclists on the doorstep of the fells, with routes for both leading straight out from the area, and watersports, fishing, golf and horse riding all within reach nearby. Pubs, restaurants and entertainment in the village mean there's plenty to do after a day outdoors, and Rothay Garden Hotel & Riverside Spa makes a comfortable base for exploring it all.
The hotel is adults-only, with en-suite rooms including accessible options, drinks available in room, and gardens with outdoor seating looking towards the surrounding mountains. Free WiFi and 24 hour reception are standard, and packed lunches can be arranged for days spent out on the trails. Free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward.
Food is a focus here, with a restaurant and bar on site alongside breakfast service, and the riverside spa offers treatments and a sauna for unwinding afterwards. Laundry service is also available. It's a hotel built around the rhythm of a Lake District stay: active days, good food, and a spa to return to in the evening.
