The View Snowdon Wharf

Porthmadog's harbour sits where the Afon Glaslyn meets the sea, and The View Snowdon Wharf occupies a prime spot on the waterfront with views across the estuary. This is a one-bedroom apartment for two people, accessed via 15 steps to the first floor. The living space combines kitchen, dining and lounge in one open area, with a door onto a balcony where you can watch the water and the light change throughout the day. The bedroom has a king-size bed. A walk-in shower, heated towel rail and toilet make up the bathroom.

The kitchen is equipped for cooking proper meals rather than heating ready-mades: electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher are all provided. Wifi, heating, bed linen and towels are included. There is parking for one car on site, and the apartment does not permit smoking.

The town itself has independent shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants. The Ffestiniog Railway, one of the world's oldest narrow-gauge railways, runs steam trains from the harbour into Snowdonia. Walkers and cyclists exploring the national park often use Porthmadog as a base; the town is also popular with those interested in maritime history.
