About Luton Hoo Hotel Golf And Spa

A mansion house turned 144-room hotel, Luton Hoo Hotel Golf And Spa makes its historic setting the main event, with grand architecture and grounds forming the backdrop to every stay. Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning, and there are family and accessible options, along with a bridal suite and VIP facilities for those marking a special occasion.

Dining is a particular strength, with a restaurant on-site turning out food worth planning a visit around, and afternoon tea that regulars single out as a highlight. A bar, indoor swimming pool, gym and spa with sauna round out the facilities, while golf is available nearby for guests who want to spend a day outdoors. Business services, concierge and porter services are on hand for practical needs, though it's worth noting that facilities aren't always guaranteed to be available.

The staff are consistently described as attentive and helpful, adding polish to the grand setting. Free on-site parking, an electric vehicle charge point, and pets-welcome policy make it a straightforward base, with pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby and Luton Airport within easy reach.

My daughters bought me a lovely retirement present of a round of golf for two with my son in law. It turns out the voucher, purchased directly from Luton Hoo, was only valid for 4 months. We’d been unable to play due to an injury but when I contacted the office they said the voucher had expired and that was it! I asked if we could play at another course and even use the voucher as part payment but they said no. I accept vouchers have an expiry date and it’s my fault for not checking but you’d think a large hotel group like Arora would at least offer something like a discounted round elsewhere as Luton Hoo is closed anyway. Very disappointed and of course embarrassed that I’ve let such a lovely gift go to waste.

We had an unforgettable anniversary break at Luton Hoo. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt special. Dinner and breakfast were both exceptional—beautifully presented and full of flavour. A particularly thoughtful touch was the personalised dessert from the staff, which made us feel truly celebrated. The bar cocktails were sublime, crafted with care and perfect for a romantic evening. Although the hotel is currently undergoing major renovations now, we’re already looking forward to returning once the updates are complete for another relaxing escape. Highly recommended for anyone seeking elegance, warmth, and a touch of luxury.

Luton Hoo is slowly winding down for a much-needed refit. Whilst the Manor House remains splendid, it's now showing its age. We were upgraded to a lovely suite after a room mix-up. However, the internet was poor, and the air conditioning and TV did not work. Needless to say, the room was beautiful. Special thanks to Magda (Front of House) who tried very hard to ensure our wedding celebration went as smoothly as possible. Thank you!

We stayed at the Luton Hoo Hotel overnight, which was good. The spa facilities is nice as are the grounds. The actual food place inside the venue was horrible - I wouldn't bother going as it was really so bad. The historical rooms, the actual venue, and the staff at the venue itself were very good. I have a detailed review on our blog, Life with Jupiter and Dann.
