Harlie House is a thoroughly equipped two-bedroom cottage on White Leys Recreation Ground, within easy reach of Whitby's clifftops and beaches. The ground floor holds an open-plan living space with a well-stocked kitchen—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine—alongside dining and seating areas, with glass doors opening to an enclosed rear garden complete with furniture. Upstairs, both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms: one with a zip-and-link bed that can be split into singles, the other with two single beds. Essentials including Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are covered. One dog stays free, and the property comes with a lockable bike store and parking for a single car.
The location suits walkers and cyclists especially well. The Cinder Track, a former railway line running through the area, now forms a public footpath heading towards Robin Hood's Bay, Ravenscar and Scarborough. A 10-minute walk brings you to the cliff paths with descents to the beach. Whitby town centre, roughly 25 minutes on foot, holds shops, cafés and the harbour. Families with young children will find travel cots, highchairs and stairgates on hand. No smoking is enforced throughout.
