Killerby Old Hall : The Lodge
North Yorkshire
View on Google MapsCayton Bay's sandy shore lies within easy driving distance, and Scarborough's seafront attractions—South Bay and North Bay—are equally close. Filey, with its traditional promenade and cobbled landing, makes another straightforward coastal trip. Swim Now Scarborough is nearby for those wanting a dedicated swimming facility. The Lodge itself sits within a 10-acre grounds that includes a play area, small lake, and an on-site restaurant open daily, so base-camp options exist without leaving the property.
All four bedrooms and both bathrooms are on the ground floor; one has a kingsize bed, the second another kingsize, and the third and fourth each hold two singles. The living and dining rooms open onto a garden with patio doors, and the kitchen is fitted for cooking—electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, and the usual cold storage. A private hot tub sits in the enclosed lawn garden. Guests have access to a heated indoor swimming pool (30ft by 16ft 6in, open 8am to 8pm year-round), bike storage, and parking for two cars. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are included.
The property suits groups or extended families needing several bedrooms under one roof. No smoking is permitted inside. Check-in is after 4pm and checkout before 10am.

First time staying in the lakeside lodges. Had a lovely stay. Location is great- beautiful clean site-lodge was spotless & everything has been thought of. The lodge was extremely hot as was hot outside so we were glad we took a fan. Great smart tv in The lodge. Lots of ducks & rabbits around. Such a peaceful stay. Beds & pillows were really comfy. We didn’t use the pool but is great there is one on site. We were gutted that the restaurant was closed for food mon-Wednesday and it was a shame as we were hoping to eat in there. We did have a drink there though-the lady serving was lovely & great price for the drinks. The building inside is stunning. We would definitely stay again & would love to try the cottage or the hall next time.

No bedding provided for the bunk beds, hot plate almost impossible to use, space absolutely tiny. Did not see a single member of staff all weekend. At nearly £200/night it was overpriced & underwhelming. Would not return or recommend.

Tourind caravan pitch was large and wide. Car parked nicely next to the caravan, although they had a big public car park near by, as the bar/restaurant was open to everyone at the site and visitors/punlic too. Staff are super friendly and welcoming and the food was superb and we enjoyed the cocktails too. 10/10 recommend.

We stayed in Dovecote Cottage: Positive: 1 - Friendly staff. 2- Clean warm rooms. Negative: 1- No information on how to operate the dishwasher. Unable to Google operating instructions as the make was not on it. 2-The step down to the patio on which the hot tub was located was loose, and needs securing. 3-The large outdoor rubbish wheelie bins were overflowing with black bin bags some of which had torn open with food waste on the floor.
