About Holiday Inn Northampton
Bedford Road runs through Northampton with easy links to the surrounding transport network, and it's here that Holiday Inn Northampton offers a straightforward base for visiting the town or passing through Northamptonshire. Free on-site parking makes arriving by car simple, and a garden with outdoor seating gives the grounds a bit of breathing space beyond the usual hotel forecourt.
The 117 rooms come with air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms and a mini-fridge stocked with drinks, and family rooms and accessible rooms are available alongside standard doubles. Some guests have found the beds less comfortable than they'd like, but the rooms themselves are generally described as clean and spacious. A restaurant and bar serve food and drinks on-site, kids' meals are catered for, and breakfast draws particular praise for its wide buffet spread. There's also a gym, meeting rooms, room service and laundry service for those staying longer or working while away.
Staff are consistently noted as friendly and helpful, and the hotel is generally felt to offer good value for money. Pets are welcome, and with a pub, restaurant and eatery all nearby, there's no shortage of options beyond the hotel itself for an evening out.
What guests say
Stayed there whilst visiting Northampton speedway for the first time on the 18th June. Every single staff member we interacted with was lovely and so helpful. Our room was incredible. Great size and had air conditioning. The dinner we had for our half board was delicious. 3 courses of incredible food with vegan options available that were delicious. Overall exceptional stay and absolutely will visit again

Looks clean enough and the room is okay. But in my room the window is not sealing correct so I had the pleasure of listening to the dual carriageway traffic late into the night and wake me up nice early. Also lots of banging doors from the corridor as soft door closers are worn on guest doors.

Rooms are very clean, nothing is out of place and the cleaners clearly go over the whole room, bathrooms are also very well kept. Food is good and quite quick on the turn around with a good selection, breakfast is also very well organised. No complaints 👍👍👍 Staff are lovely, polite and accommodating and take pride in what they do, very refreshing to see. The only thing I would recommend is some rooms carpet are tired and needs renewing, via new ones being put down.

Brilliant location. We went to the Crick show, this hotel is only a few minutes drive away. Lots of lawned grounds for dogs, across the quiet road, a huge park with a lake. Met lots of joggers, walkers and dogs. Our premium double bed x 2 was very comfortable. Great shower, lots hot water. Views across to majestic trees, bit of road noise, I admit, but it didn't really bother us. (In case you are a light sleeper Room 106) Staff were friendly and helpful. Had dinner on our first night, vegetarian curry, delish. Breakfast is great, lots to choose from, piping hot, hot plates, lovely smart, spotlessly clean dining room, staff worked hard. Only thing for us was that although there were several meat options, sausages, bacon, etc, there were no Quorn, Linda McCartney sausages. We were offered onion and potato in breadcrumbs. However, regardless, the breakfast was delicious! Lovely coffee too. And a great plus is that go a mile or so beyond, come to a roundabout with lots of office buildings, tucked in there is a fabulous, beautiful pub right on the river Nene. The Britannia, it's gorgeous!! We only had nibbles and drinks but the food being served looked delicious, plus very pet friendly too. Highly recommend if you're in the area, stay at the Holiday Inn and visit the pub!!!! If you wonder why I've taken a photo of the condiments my SIL loves Stokes's!!!
