I had a wonderful stay at Mercure Northampton Hotel from start to finish. The check-in and check out process was smooth, quick, and welcoming, setting the tone for a relaxing visit. The bar had a lovely atmosphere with a great selection of drinks, making it the perfect place to unwind in the evening. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of fresh and tasty options available, and the food overall was delicious and well presented. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing everything needed for a pleasant and restful stay. The entire property is beautifully kept, modern, and inviting, creating a warm and enjoyable environment throughout. A big thank you to the team for their outstanding hospitality. The hotel reception staff were very welcoming, but be aware of you want an early check in it is £20 per hour! The rooms are nice a comfortable and the bed is massive and very comfortable. Tea & coffee, safe and TV. We added breakfast to our stay and that was a good idea only £12 per person and very enjoyable. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. The location is good just a short walk from the train station and moments away from the bus station. Sadly the town centre has suffered a big decline probably due to many retail parks being available on the outskirts, however St Giles St area still pleasant with individual retailers, cafes and restaurants. The hotel is a good base if you wanted to explore the wider area and lovely surrounding villages. I would definitely be happy to stay here again.

My apologies for the late review. My friends and I stayed overnight at this hotel back in December of 2025 and had a very nice experience. The hotel was very clean, the beds were super comfortable, and everything felt easy and relaxing for a quick stay. The location was also very convenient, with a train station nearby. The staff were also friendly - reception was welcoming and helpful, which made check-in and check-out smooth. Shout out to Gerlie America for arranging the reservation - really appreciate it. Would definitely stay again if ever in the area. Thank you!

Rooms was super spacious and clean but the bathroom sink seem blocked. As for the service, its super poor as the staff was rude during breakfast, we arrived for breakfast on a Sunday morning and at about 10am,the lady came to us to inform us breakfast will be closed in minutes, my friend and I proceeded to pick some dessert as we have not had any to take to our room, she walked up to us and started shouting we can't take anything to our room, it was a very awkward moment and I wont ever come here nor recommend the place.
