Peggyslea Farm B&B

About Peggyslea Farm B&B

The Pentland Hills and the Midlothian countryside around Nine Mile Burn are made for walking, with a golf course also nearby for those who'd rather swing a club than pull on boots. A pub, restaurant and other eateries sit within easy distance too, and Edinburgh's city attractions are close enough for a day trip while still leaving the peace of the countryside to come back to. Peggyslea Farm B&B, just outside Penicuik, makes a practical base for either.

There are five rooms here, each with an en-suite bathroom, and family and accessible rooms are available for those who need them. Rooms come with drinks and views over the garden or the surrounding hills, and a proper breakfast is included to set guests up for a day out. Free WiFi runs throughout, and reception is staffed around the clock.

Outside, there's a garden to sit in and free on-site parking, useful given the rural setting. Pets are welcome, and luggage storage is on hand for anyone breaking a longer journey. It's a straightforward, well-placed spot for exploring both the hills and Edinburgh without having to choose between them.
