The Mill

West Linton is a quiet village in the Scottish Borders, roughly 20 minutes by car from Edinburgh but far enough out to feel properly rural. The Mill is a converted mill building on the edge of the village, designed for two people seeking either a retreat from the city or a base to explore it. The whole property is yours alone, and one well-behaved pet can stay free of charge.

Upstairs is a single open-plan floor with a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, a living area that doubles as a home cinema—complete with projector, screen and surround sound—and a bedroom with a kingsize bed. The bathroom has a bath with shower over it and a heated towel rail. Essentials like electricity, wi-fi and bed linen are included. There is private parking for two cars on site, plus an electric vehicle charging point.

The village has pubs, restaurants and a golf club within walking distance. Walks from the door take you through countryside; Scotland's largest dry ski slope is about 15 minutes away by car. Glasgow, Stirling and Perth are all reachable within an hour. No smoking indoors.
