About Tynedale Guest House
Penrith puts plenty on your doorstep, and Tynedale Guest House on Victoria Road makes a practical base for it. The Lake District National Park lies within easy reach for a day of fell walking or driving the lakes, while the local area itself offers cycling routes, watersports, golf, and a choice of pubs, restaurants and other eateries for evenings when you'd rather stay closer to town.
Rooms are en-suite and come with drinks-making facilities, and reception is staffed around the clock, so late arrivals and early starts are no trouble. A cooked breakfast is included to set you up before a day out, and free WiFi is available throughout for anyone needing to stay connected. Luggage storage is useful for guests breaking up a longer trip through Cumbria.
Free on-site parking makes it straightforward to come and go, whether you're heading into the Lakes for the day or exploring Penrith on foot. It's a no-frills, well-run stop for travellers who want a comfortable bed and an easy start point rather than an experience in itself.

Lovely welcome and good room. Breakfast was delicious and the service was great. The hosts are friendly, attentive and remember your specific requests. They also take an interest in you and remember what you say. Great stay here. Would come back again if in the area

I stayed here with my partner and my brother in law for 1 night, upon arrival the 2 owners were lovely to talk to and the rooms were up to the standard of which you pay for. My brother in law stayed in a larger room which had a sink in it. The room also had bath robes as the bathroom was down a hall, it was still private and with a large shower and sink. The room I stayed in had a larger bed, a chair with a window on to the street, which could be an issue if you have the window open as it does get noisy. There is a sliding door that leads to a shower and toilet facilities, this allows a form of privacy to whom you are sharing the room with. In the morning I had a full English, and my partner had a vegetarian breakfast, with both enjoyed the breakfast. We had coffee and orange juice with one of the owners asking if we wanted re-fills. Overall the night sleep was great after a nice dinner at the local Wetherspoons with nice environment and comfy beds. I would stay here again due to the lovely owners and the nice facilities. Edit: there are not too many parking spaces, so you might have to communicate with other customers to move cars, with 2 cars the parking is manageable though.

Amazing hosts, we got delayed and arrived at 1am instead of 10pm yet they welcomed us with a smile! Then in the morning, breakfast was amazing with great service! (even our vegetarian sausages were made separately from the meat ones). Rooms were very clean, no complaints at all. Will 100% recommend to everyone.

Very dated and decor throughout in need of modernising. Bed comfy and room clean. Hostess very friendly. Budget B&B suitable for 1 night. Tiny en suite in my room. No hot water from sink tap and couldn't get head underneath tap to rinse mouth it was so tiny. Shower ok but has mould on sealant.
