Brandoch Lodge

Dunkeld sits within reach of some of Perthshire's best outdoor country. Brandoch Lodge occupies part of a 6000-acre working estate—woodland, lochs, mountains and open ground that invites walking, fishing (for a fee, with licence) and simply moving about under sky. The Kinnaird Estate itself spreads across Highland Perthshire with character enough to fill a week without leaving the grounds, though the wider region around Perth and Kinross has more conventional attractions if you want them.

The lodge itself is a detached house with four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, sleeping eight. Ground floor holds the living room (woodburner, 60-inch TV), a kitchen and dining space equipped for proper cooking, utility room, and a fourth bedroom. Upstairs are three further bedrooms. Two of the four beds are zip-and-link super kings, the other two are pairs of singles that can be converted to super kings on request. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are provided, along with logs for the woodburner; a welcome pack arrives with you. One dog may stay on lead. There is decked garden space with furniture and a gas BBQ, plus parking for four cars and an electric charging point.

The grounds contain slopes, unfenced water features and sudden drops, so families with very young children should think carefully. No smoking indoors. Arrive after 4pm, depart by 10am.
