About Future Inn Plymouth
Step into a room at Future Inn Plymouth and you'll find a generous amount of space, an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and a comfortable bed, with family rooms and accessible rooms also available across the hotel's 143 rooms. Many come with drinks in room, and the overall standard is consistently clean and well-kept.
Downstairs there's a restaurant serving breakfast and kids' meals, plus a bar for evening drinks. The hotel also has a gym, a garden, meeting rooms and a bridal suite, making it as suited to a work trip or wedding as to a weekend away, and room service is available for those who'd rather not leave their room at all. Free on-site parking is a welcome practical touch, and staff are generally friendly and ready to help, though service can occasionally feel a little disorganised at busy times.
Plymouth and the wider Devon countryside are within easy reach, with walking and cycling routes, golf, fishing and watersports all nearby, alongside a good spread of pubs and restaurants for evenings out.

What guests say
I stay at Future Inn regularly because it’s the hotel my company books for us, so I’ve had plenty of opportunities to experience it. Unfortunately, the hotel feels very outdated. On multiple stays, I’ve encountered issues such as room phones not working and air conditioning not working at all. These are basic amenities that should be maintained, especially for a hotel that caters to business travellers. The biggest disappointment has consistently been the customer service. The reception staff has often come across as unfriendly and unwelcoming during check-in. Rather than feeling valued as a guest, I’ve frequently felt like an inconvenience. Unsure if they are just rude or plain racist. Hospitality is about making guests feel welcome, whether they’re staying for business or leisure, and I believe the front desk team would benefit from additional customer service and hospitality training. One piece of advice for future guests: if you’re staying over a weekend, avoid booking a room on the first & second floors, right wing. These rooms are directly above the event space, and the noise is extremely disruptive. During events, the music is so loud that you can hear it clearly in your room, and even the bed vibrates from the bass, making it very difficult to relax or sleep. I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously, as it has the potential to provide a much better experience with improved maintenance and more attentive customer service.

Just had a 2 night stay at the Future Inn. Very happy indeed with our stay. Friendly receptionist, a comfortable air conditioned double room with free WiFi throughout the hotel. Close to the A38 expressway, a perfect hotel choice without going into Plymouth itself. Plenty of free parking (make sure you input your registration at reception when checking in). All in all a great stay. We wouldn't hesitate to book here again. Great friendly hotel. Thanks to All the super staff.. 😊😊😊 Great choice at the Breakfast buffet with very friendly staff.

The room was great. Nice and simple. Bit of a struggle with the heat as air con didn't seem to work and one small window only partially opens for safety reasons. The staff were generally good mannered. Bearded barman on Sunday evening was particularly friendly. The location is great for super stores and fast food but little for children to do. We did find a children's playpark about 10 mins walk away on the natural grid in a residential area, which is an amazing urban nature recovery project. There was also lots of Meadow areas to walk through and a fort. We managed to find things to do and would stay again.

Great value hotel offering comfortable, well maintained and well fitted extremely clean rooms. In fact hotel clean around. Customer service is top, both at the reception desk and room service staff, being very friendly and helpful too. Minor issue being room aircon not very effective, but not a major concern April 2026. If you need reasonable additional in-room provided beverage and bathroom items, you can ask and be offered. Great selection for our Plymouth stay.
