About Number 29
Number 29 suits couples after a peaceful, grown-up break rather than a family holiday, being an adults-only B&B with just three rooms on Saint Pauls Crescent in Shanklin. Its small scale means a more personal stay, with breakfast included and drinks available in the room, plus free WiFi and 24 hour reception for guests arriving at odd hours.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, and some take in sea views over the town. Free on-site parking is provided, which is useful given Shanklin's residential streets, and luggage storage is available for those wanting to explore before or after their room is ready.
Shanklin Chine and the beach are both close by, making this a good base for walking or simply enjoying the coast. The area also offers cycling routes, golf and fishing nearby, along with pubs, restaurants and other places to eat within easy reach for evenings out.
What guests say
Stayed for 2 nights at Easter 2026, on visit, very welcoming beautiful clean and comfy rooms, with en-suite, own tea/ coffee making facility, and fresh home made cake on arrival, quiet and relaxing, wonderful breakfast. Very helpful, friendly and informative host, ideal for exploring the isle of wight by car, foot, bus or train, as train and bus service close by, close to town, but still out of the way, close to beach, really cannot think of any negatives, would definitely stay again, and will recommend to others, good value also, phone direct to book as it will save fees for the owner, I will next time.

I’ve just spent a couple of nights here and had a wonderful time. Chris and her son looked after me wonderfully and treated me very much as an individual for which I’m most grateful. The baking and the breakfasts were to die for and the decor, comfort and cleanliness were a joy. Many thanks for my stay Andy

Ran by a lovely and welcoming mother and son duo. My partner and I felt very comfortable here, and the freshly made breakfast was lovely! Clean mugs were placed in our room each day and even had a slice of home made cake in our room waiting for us on the day that we got there. Chris made toast with her home made bread as well! Lovely three bedroom B&B. Highly recommend.
