Shoreside Inn

Shoreside Inn is an adult only boutique hotel Ideally situated on the front at Shanklin. It is not far from Shanklin railway station, close to several restaurants and a lift takes you up the cliff to access the town and the picturesque old village. A regular circular bus route links the beach to the village and town in addition to other routes connected to other parts of the island, so you don’t necessarily need a car to enjoy your stay here. Andy and Jo are exceptional hosts; they could not do enough for you. The breakfasts are truly amazing, a great way to start the day. The rooms have everything you need to enjoy your short or longer stay. We were fortunate to get the ground floor which allowed us to lounge on the sea facing patio watching the world go by drinking the well supplied varieties of teas and coffees provided, with a fridge packed with milk and bottles of water, an ideal way to keep the bottle of fizz cool too. Alternatively there are some rooms with balconies overlooking the sea. Overnight the road was quiet even in the middle of the summer season and when the tide is in the sea can be heard lapping against the sea wall. The sandy beaches have deckchairs umbrellas and are close to refreshments. Highly recommended place to stay . No matter how many nights you stay we always wish we could stay longer and when you leave you start to plan your return as with any great break or holiday.

This is a fantastic place that overlooks Shanklin beach, some rooms directly and others with a side view. Ours was the latter but we knew that when we booked. The room was huge with a comfortable king sized bed, seating area with a TV - not a smart one - and a large bathroom with walk in shower. However it’s the hosts that lift this place above the ordinary - from the greeting on arrival to advice on where to go and what to do, but especially the whole breakfast experience - Jo in the kitchen and Andy front of house. The food is abundant and of the highest quality. We’ll definitely be returning!

We had a great experience from start to finish. Andy and Jo (the owners) were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, even waited up to check us in as we got delayed. The hotel is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Our room had a private terrace literally 50' from the beach. The food was all cooked fresh including daily specials and pastries. Facilities in the room were excellent and probably first hotel I've stayed in that doesn't have UHT Milk pods, we had a mini half pint fresh mile for tea and coffee in the fridge - over all a fantastic experience and will be our go-to hotel for IOW in future.

We had an amazing stay at this b&b Everything was perfect — the rooms were clean, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the staff were incredibly kind and professional. A special thank you to Mr. Andy and Mrs. Jo for their outstanding hospitality and for making our stay even more enjoyable. They were so helpful, friendly, and welcoming throughout our visit. We truly appreciate everything and would highly recommend this b&b to everyone.
