About The Bitterne Park Hotel

Golf courses, fishing spots and watersports are all within reach of The Bitterne Park Hotel, along with a scattering of pubs and restaurants nearby, making it a practical base for exploring Southampton beyond the city centre. Cobden Avenue itself sits in a residential pocket of the city, with the wider attractions of Southampton an easy journey away.

The hotel has 15 rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and drinks provided, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children. There's free on-site parking, a 24 hour reception and a laundry service for anyone staying a few nights, and pets are welcome too.

Guests can eat and drink without leaving the grounds, thanks to an on-site restaurant and bar, or make use of the garden, picnic area and outdoor seating when the weather allows. Free WiFi is available throughout. It's a straightforward, comfortable option for visitors who want to combine access to Southampton with a quieter residential setting.

Great value for money hotel. Exceeded my expectations based on the price paid. Clean beds, nice showers and not far from the cruise terminal or railway station via Uber. This is an old building with a pub at the ground level. The pub is closed and so no worries on noise level at night. However, there is no elevator and be prepared to walk up the stairs. There is no fridge in the room. As it is an old building there is no aircon, which can be a problem during extreme heat conditions. The new management seems keen to revive and modernise this place. So, this place is up and running - contrary to some reviews that this place has closed down. Location is fair. There is a lovely river walk, and a small supermarket nearby. There are food options around this place, and a pretty decent laundry across the street. I think it is perfect to stay 1 or 2 days before my cruise. Conclusion, this is pretty nice place - based on the price paid. To me, this is a good deal.

Booked in for the 28-02-26. Didn't even bother staying. The place was Cold on entrance and in the Room we were given. All Bedding was Stained. No Mattress Topper. The Mattress itself was not in a Good State. You could feel the Springs sticking in you and the Mattress itself was Dirty. The Windows were Filthy. It was basically a Bedsit. The Bathroom itself was in Good Order. If staying here you would feel more Comfortable if the Beds were in the Bathroom. I would definitely not recommend this place. The picture's on the Website are Very Misleading. For the extra £10 or so price difference book a Premier inn or something similar. Which I will be doing in Future. Avoid if Possible.

Booked for me and two friends to stay over for the Take That concert. The building from the outside looks very neglected and unused. Checked in, told room 6 but had to ask where that was. No information provided about our stay or checking out. Looks like being set up as an HMO. Expensive for what it was.

Didn’t even get inside, upon arrival the place looked desolate and abandoned, when I found the correct door for the hotel it was locked, I rang the doorbell, knocked on the door and even called the displayed service number and had no response. The whole place didn’t even seem like it was running - I came inside the listed times for check in and couldn’t even get in. Ridiculous.
