I had been warned about this hotel, regardless I booked it because I know I would get a good sleep with them at least... and that's exactly what happened It was prefect for me as it was a stone throw away from where I had to work. I arrived just after dinner ended 9.30pm, gutted, I was greeted at reception by Lisa, who made me feel very welcoming an gave me a drink (would have had with my dinner). I also took the time to book my breakfast and dinner slots for the new few days, because the eating area is small comparted to others I have been to and can get very busy. Sadly, this site has no premier plus rooms, otherwise I would have booked one of the rooms and would have given 5 stars. The room was nice, neat and clean, also free parking Breakfast (7.00am slot) was quite, before being seated I was asked if I had any allergies, I requested scrambled eggs because there was none out on the hob, there was fried eggs, beans, bacon, sausage hash brown, tomatoes and Black pudding. You could also requested poached eggs and vegan sausages. there was plenty of hot drinks, juices and bread m croissant, as well as cereal yogurt and fruit. I left there very full Day two I had dinner (8.30pm slot), again was quite I was seated by a lovely lady called Sarah, I placed my order of Fish and chips, it was so very nice, followed by the desert made just for me by Sarah, a love sundae. She was so very nice and helpful and made me feel very comfortable. Overall, my stay was very good, I had a very good night sleep each night, and had no problems with the eating slots. I would definably come back here again

My experience at the Premier Inn was pretty good! The staff are exceptional, from Lisa at the front desk to everyone else running breakfast to the bar in the evening, everyone is spectacular. I want to preface, that the issues I will mention did not cause me an issue, I was not upset, and I lived with it. These issues to me are very slight, and easy to work around for myself. However, and this is me being nit-picky, my room had mold in the window (classic condensation mold, see photos) and the bathroom sink was closed, and unable to be opened. Again, not an issue to me, but I can see this being an issue for someone else, so just be aware and talk to the lovely staff here. Outside of these two issues, the rooms are clean, well stocked with coffee, cups, and extra linens. There's even a hairdryer! I'd only ask for an iron or steamer to be included, but I also fully understand why this wasn't included. The shower is clean, comes with a decent hair wash, and is even a tub! The location is great and a quick 15 minute walk into the old town, or a solid 10 to the station. I really enjoyed my stay here, the breakfast was great (love a continental), and thanks again to the lovely staff.

Positives - incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Clean room and comfortable bed. Dinner was good value with dinner/breakfast deal. Veggie burger was good, as was the House burger. Burger buns were very soft and helped make the burgers. Cesar salad was lovely. Negatives - corridor leading to bedroom smelt of vapes. Huge construction site next to hotel and they started work early! Breakfast was disappointing with eggs like rubber (see photo) and bacon that definitely needed more time to crisp up.

Great couple of nights business stay at the Premier Inn Stevenage...really friendly staff and room was great. Plenty of parking and a good buffet cooked breakfast. Helped out a colleague who thought they'd booked a room but hadn't, and found them a room without any undue hassle.
