Gartclach Farm - Iora Rua
Stirling
View on Google MapsPhoto: Gartclach Farm
Seven hundred acres of farmland surround Gartclach Farm, where Iora Rua sits as one of three substantial detached houses in a row. The Stirling countryside here borders Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, and red deer regularly move through the fields beyond your garden. A café, gift shop and garden centre are within walking distance; villages like Aberfoyle and Drymen lie 10 to 20 minutes' drive away, offering restaurants, shops and services. Glasgow and Stirling city centres are roughly half an hour off.
The house holds three bedrooms across two floors. Downstairs sits a living room with woodburner and smart TV, a kitchen/dining space with induction and electric range, and a shower room. Upstairs, one bedroom has a kingsize bed, dressing area and ensuite; the second has another kingsize; the third contains two singles. A full bathroom serves that floor. Everything essentials come included—heating, electricity, wifi, bed linen, towels—along with a welcome pack. The enclosed rear garden has furniture and a BBQ, plus your own private hot tub for five people. One dog is welcome here, and there is ample parking.
This region suits walkers and outdoor explorers. Queen Elizabeth Forest Park and the national cycle network route 7 are close by. Popular attractions including Loch Lomond, Loch Katrine, Go Ape and Blair Drummond Safari Park all fall within a 30-minute drive. The property is entirely yours for the duration of your stay.

We recently booked all three cottages for a week away with friends, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, communication with Lesley-Ann was fantastic. Friendly, prompt, and incredibly helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, and it made the whole booking process smooth and stress free. The cottages themselves are absolutely beautiful, tucked away in a stunning landscape that feels peaceful and private. It’s the perfect place to truly switch off and relax. The setting is quiet and serene, yet ideally located — only 20–30 minutes from both Loch Katrine and Loch Lomond, making day trips easy and scenic. For those who enjoy hiking, there are plenty of Munros and Corbetts within easy reach, which was a real bonus for our group. The hot tubs were an absolute highlight and a big hit with everyone. Adults and children alike! After a day exploring, there was nothing better than soaking in the hot tub and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. We truly cannot thank you enough for such a fabulous stay. We made wonderful memories and wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend these cottages to others looking for a relaxing getaway in a breathtaking part of Scotland.
