Church Street

Church Street is a Grade II listed terraced cottage built with the stone and timber character typical of the Westmorland hills. Original beams run through the interior, and an open fire in the living room provides warmth and focus on cooler evenings. The two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two singles—and single bathroom are upstairs. Outside, an enclosed garden at the rear has seating and garden furniture, and parking for one car is available on the road with a disc provided.

The cottage sits in Ambleside at the head of Lake Windermere. A pub and shop are around 50 yards away, and a restaurant roughly 100 yards, making it straightforward to eat and drink without leaving the village. Mountain walks from gentle lakeside paths to steep fells like Fairfield, Loughrigg and Wansfell start from the doorstep. The village itself has equipment shops, local craft sellers and boat cruises on the water. Electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. Initial logs for the fire are provided. A cot and highchair are available on request. No smoking inside the property. One dog is welcome.
