Howe End

Howe End comes properly equipped for self-catering. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer, so you can cook as much or as little as you want. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. There's parking for two cars on site, and one well-behaved pet stays free.

The cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms—a double and two zip-and-link singles that can be made into a super king if you ask—with one bathroom containing a bath and shower. Downstairs is open-plan, combining living, dining and kitchen space. Economy 7 heating and electric convectors keep things warm. A shared laundry room in the courtyard has a tumble dryer available at cost. You have access to a large shared garden with seating and furniture, and the whole property is yours alone while you're here.

This is part of a converted farmstead near Kendal, set within seven acres of grounds. The Sun Inn is nearby. No smoking inside, please.
