The Westmorland and Furness countryside between Mungrisdale and Caldbeck Fells draws people for walking, exploring, and a slower pace of life. Stable Barn sits among converted farm buildings that once served the working land here; the original farmstead dates back around 180 years. This barn conversion retains stone walls and exposed beams alongside modern comforts—electricity, Wi-Fi, heating and all bed linen included—so you can settle in properly at the end of a day outside.
The layout gives you two bedrooms (one with a king bed and ensuite bath, one with a double and single plus a separate shower room), a family bathroom upstairs, and a ground floor open to living and dining areas. The kitchen is equipped for real cooking, with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, and fridge-freezer. A television and wood-burning stove are there if you want them. One dog stays free, and there is parking for two cars on site, plus an electric vehicle charging point if needed.
You have the whole property to yourself. The shared grounds across seven acres include a large garden with seating, a bike store, and the peace that comes with being set back from the road. Smoking is not permitted inside. Check in is after 15:00 and checkout before 10:00.
