The Bothy

Between Carlisle and Penrith, on a working farm in Westmorland and Furness, The Bothy is a single-storey property with direct access to half an acre of woodland. The surrounding landscape attracts deer, woodpeckers, swans and ducks. A pub and restaurant are a mile and a half away; shops three miles.

The bungalow sleeps four across two bedrooms: a king and two singles. Each bedroom has a television. Both bathrooms are en-suite or attached to the bedrooms—one with a cubicle shower, the other identical. The living and dining space has an electric wood-burner and Freeview. The kitchen is fitted with a cooker, microwave, dishwasher and washer-dryer, allowing you to manage most cooking and laundry without fuss. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included.

The garden offers a hot tub, seating areas and a barbecue. There is parking for two cars on site and a bike store. An enclosed pond sits 75 yards from the house. The property is no-smoking. Ullswater is within reach for sailing or scenic boat trips, and the Lake District's fell-walking and outdoor pursuits are nearby.
