Hollywood Bowl York

Please forgive me if I’ve got any names wrong — I’d been quite unwell midweek, so I wasn’t completely with it! We were greeted by Leanne and Stuart, who were both really friendly and welcoming. Leanne had everything organised and clearly explained how the morning would run, including food orders. She was fantastic with the children too. Everything ran smoothly, and all the children had a great time. I’ve booked parties in the past that cost a lot more, yet I’ve still ended up running around trying to sort things out. This was absolutely not the case here. It was really well organised, with staff who genuinely seemed to care that the children enjoyed themselves. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Putt Stars or book again. Thank you so much.

Went here to celebrate my mom's birthday and it was amazing. Only paid £30 for 2 games with complementary drinks. Then they offered us 50% for mini golf for 2 rounds as well. They have 3 different courses you can pick from. We also did pool which is £2 per game. Such an amazing value for what you get. It's a huge place and plenty of games to choose from. Their fries are also so good. Loved everything about it and the staff were lovely.

We came in twice whilst in York on a trip for my partner’s birthday. Our first visit, we opted to do the golf. It was BRILLIANT. The courses were quiet, so we could take our time going round and had a fab time. The drinks were a good price too and the courses were so interactive and entertaining. Highly recommend the golf! Unfortunately, the bowling visit was not so good. I booked us both into a VIP lane for his actual birthday. We turned up, checked in and were told they had double booked us with a group of children that were also celebrating a birthday. I was then told we can’t have the lane, and was offered two pint of coke as an apology…? I explained to her I don’t want two pints of coke (costing something £6 total) as an apology. I want the special VIP lane I’d booked for my partner’s birthday as a treat. The manager point blank refused and said the party is going to get it. Her explanation was that they booked first. I don’t see how this works. We should not have been ALLOWED to book the VIP lane online if it wasn’t available. In the end, just purely because I didn’t want to ruin his birthday, we took a standard lane and she agreed to let us have bottomless soft drinks instead. I tried not to let it ruin the experience, but it really did. We were so looking forward to the special VIP lane and we were let down by this venue. My ratings individually are; Golf - 5* Bowling - 2*

Had a lovely time we went in a Saturday and it was quite we used the QR code and got snacks and drinks delivered while we was bowling its good value for money we did booking though an offer online in advance there is plenty for the kids to spend your money on pool tables, air hockey, simulators, Teddy grab ect, staff friendly and helpful everything is kept clean and tidy. There is plenty of free parking spaces
