About Brantfell House
Brantfell House is an adults-only guest house on Rothay Road in Ambleside, set against the surrounding Lake District fells with mountain views from the property. It has an easy, welcoming character rather than a grand one, with rooms that are modern, comfortable and kept spotlessly clean, each with an en-suite bathroom and drinks provided in the room. Free WiFi is available throughout, and reception operates around the clock for guests arriving at any hour.
Breakfast is freshly cooked with a good selection, and packed lunches can be arranged for a day out on the fells. Free on-site parking is provided, which makes exploring the area straightforward. The house also serves as a wedding venue, with a bridal suite available for those celebrating there.
The hosts are friendly, attentive and go out of their way to make a stay pleasant. Ambleside itself offers walking and cycling routes, golf, fishing and watersports nearby, along with pubs, restaurants and entertainment close at hand for evenings after a day exploring the Lakes.

Perfect location to explore the Lakes. Lovely rooms, and Mandy & Adrian were excellent hosts. Adrian’s breakfasts and banter are a great start to any day

Excellent customer service. Super friendly and attentive, adie and Mandy even go so far as to remember each of the guests names which made everything feel really homely. A full English with toast and coffee was super affordable, only £10 !

Just about the loveliest people you'll ever meet. I don't have one single complaint, not even a nitpick. I'd return to Ambleside simply to stay here again.
