You arrive at Riverside to find a detached house laid out across two floors, with a ground-floor living room, kitchen and dining area flowing into a conservatory that steps down to the garden. Two single bedrooms and a shower room complete the ground level. Upstairs are two doubles, each with a television. The house sleeps six and takes one well-behaved pet at no extra charge. Central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; the multi-fuel burner comes with initial fuel ready to use.
The patio looks out onto a gravelled garden with seating and a barbecue—note there is a stream behind the fence, and steps down to the outdoor space. Parking for three cars sits on the property. The village of Kilmelford itself has a pub, café, shop and post office, plus a yacht haven if you want to bring a boat. Oban, twenty minutes or so away, offers leisure facilities, restaurants and ferry services to the Inner Hebrides. The wider landscape is dense with archaeology—Kilmartin Glen alone contains hundreds of ancient monuments—and the coast here draws porpoises, dolphins, sea eagles and otters. Walking, cycling, fishing and watersports are all within reach. No smoking inside.
