About Maes Madog Cottages

Maes Madog Cottages leaves cooking up to you, with a kitchen in each of the four cottages for putting together your own meals, while a pub and restaurant nearby cover the nights you'd rather not. There's a hot tub to unwind in after a day out, along with a garden, picnic area and outdoor seating for eating al fresco when the weather allows.

The cottages sit on Maes Madog Farm, with river and mountain views setting the scene for a stay geared towards the outdoors. Reception is staffed around the clock, and free on-site parking is included, useful for a base in this part of Conwy.

Betws-y-Coed and the wider Eryri National Park are close at hand, with walking and cycling routes leading straight from the farm, plus fishing and watersports on offer nearby and a golf course within reach for those wanting a change of pace.

A wonderful place to spend a few days in North Wales, with the following: Very nice and greatly appreciated welcome tray. Free and pretty speedy wi-fi. On-demand hot water via combi boiler Excellent shower. Comfortable lounge area. Excellent outdoor space and plentiful parking. Plentiful utensils, cutlery and crockery. Towels provided. Very comfortable accommodation overall. Would recommend unreservedly!

Pleasant stay. Quiet cottages. However, the main living/dining/cooking space was not very comfortable or well equipped. There weren’t even enough dining chairs and the table was not big enough to fit all of us. Highly recommend the White Horse pub which is a 10-minute walk from the cottage in Capel Garmon - lovely landlord and great Thai food. There are also great views of the mountains from nearby footpaths.

Great place for a quiet getaway. Our cottage was clean & well furnished, room was warm & the bed comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for self catering. The location was perfect, peaceful in the evening but close enough to town to go out
