About Travelodge Brighton
A bar and restaurant on site mean guests at Travelodge Brighton don't need to head out for a drink or a meal, and breakfast is also available for those wanting to start the day without leaving the building. It's a practical setup that suits the hotel's straightforward, no-frills approach to a stay near Preston Park.
The hotel has 94 rooms spread across nine floors, served by a lift, with en-suite bathrooms and accessible rooms among the options. Rooms tend to be comfortable and generously sized, with beds that hold up well, and staff are consistently helpful, though some rooms show their age and could do with fresher upkeep. Drinks are available in-room, and pets are welcome for those travelling with animals.
On-site parking is available at the front and side of the building for a fee, with vehicles to be registered with reception on arrival, though it's worth noting this can add up. The location near Preston Park puts guests within reach of pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby, plus golf, fishing and watersports for those wanting to get outdoors.

What guests say
Room was clean. Bit musky. No view (I was in room 4 ground floor) and unfortunately, the generator room outside was started up at 8.30am making a lot of noise and smoke fumes came through my window! Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good, though hot food was limited and not stocked up quickly enough. Small dining area so get in early! Not too close to the seaside which is good for noise. A no.5 bus takes 25 mins and you're there. Generally good place to stay. But pricey for the night but Brighton prices are all over inflated anyway.

Like most Travel Lodges this one has a pretty decent room for a very reasonable price. While it is a little bit out of the centre of town, that does make for a much quieter location and the station is only a 30 minute walk away (or less if you grab a cab!). There’s a lift which is handy, and breakfast was very enjoyable and worth the money: sausages especially which was quite the treat! Don’t expect mod-cons like A/C (there’s a fan which on a warm June evening with a window open did a surprisingly good job) though. Bed extremely comfortable with plugs & USB outlets right next to it. Very little noise from other guests or from outside the hotel overnight made for a great night's sleep. Cleanliness high, even if there were a few bits of décor upkeep the place would have benefitted from. Would happily stay here again.

It's easy to locate. On getting there, check-in was easy, and room was clean. Clean sheets, comfy bed. However, note that there's no fridge in the room, so you might want to plan accordingly. There are a number of parking options, but parking is not free (I didn't drive, so I didn't have to deal with that). In all, budget-friendly with good value for money.

I don’t usually give bad reviews but on this occasion feel it might help a few people avoid a bad and expensive experience I stayed one night here and would never stay again. On arrival the bar area had plates of food lying about, not cleared away. The guy on reception was polite and professional enough but the worse was yet to come. The lift area and the lift is shabby and the lift sounded and felt like it had somebody cranking it by hand. The room we had on the 6th floor was spacious but poorly maintained. The wallpaper was peeling off by the window, walls were greasy and marked and unsightly brown marks in the bathroom. The cost of this delight was £150 for the night. The only saving grace was it’s near the park and easy to get into Brighton centre by bus, other than that not a great experience. I’ve posted a couple of pics of the room so you get a flavour of the experience. When I complained Travel Lodge offered me a free breakfast next time I stay 😂
