Dylasau Cottage

Betws-y-Coed sits at the heart of Snowdonia, surrounded by waterfalls, forest trails and some of the UK's most dramatic peaks. Dylasau Cottage is a detached property set back from a quiet country lane, with its own enclosed garden and terrace. The village itself has shops, restaurants and attractions like Zip World Fforest; a short drive reaches the Ffestiniog Railway, rock climbing around Llanberis, and the National Outdoor Centre at Capel Curig.

Inside, the cottage sleeps four across three bedrooms—a double upstairs and two singles on the ground floor—with one bathroom. The ground floor also holds a living room with woodburner, a kitchen for self-catering, and a games room with pool table. Bed linen and Wi-Fi are provided, along with heating and initial fuel for the fire. There are several steps to the entrance. The property is yours alone, and one well-behaved pet is welcome.

The enclosed garden includes a patio, furniture and barbecue, plus bike storage. A bonus: guests get free use of the local leisure centre for swimming, sauna, steam room and gym. The grounds contain a fenced stream. Smoking is not permitted inside.

Lovely clean cosy cottage. Away from main road. Made use of the free gym sauna and swimming pool about 3 miles from the cottage.

Great cottage for a family holiday so long as you are fit enough to climb the winding steps from the road, as that is where the parking is. Not a problem for us - we enjoyed the exercise. Although it looks small with all rooms visible from the front door, it doesn't feel it. The bedrooms are a good size (double upstairs) and the games room very big and light. Great base for the coast, Bala lake, Karting and Betws y coed. Very private location with just the horses and sheep as neighbours, which we liked and a massive garden.
