Cefn Bach
Conwy
Cefn Bach stands on a working farm in the countryside between Betws-y-Coed and Snowdonia National Park, accessed via a private road through open land. The 100-acre grounds include marked trails through farmland, giving a real sense of isolation despite being only 3 miles from the village. The cottage itself is a detached stone building, originally built two centuries ago but fully renovated to combine period character with modern comfort.
Inside, the ground floor is one open living space with a wood-burning stove in an inglenook fireplace, dining area, and kitchen equipped for proper cooking. Upstairs are three bedrooms—a double and two singles—and a bathroom with both bath and shower. Bed linen and towels are provided, along with heating and Wi-Fi; logs for the stove are included to get you started. The kitchen has a dishwasher, oven, hob and microwave. A garden with patio and barbecue overlooks the surrounding fields, and there is private parking for one car on site. The cottage takes up to five people, and one dog or cat is welcome.
This works well as a base for exploring Snowdonia or simply sitting still. Horse riding is available locally. A leisure centre 3 miles away has a pool and gym if you want a break from the countryside. No smoking inside the property.
