About Snowdonia and Coast Glamping

The beaches of the Llyn Peninsula in one direction, the lakes and peaks of Snowdonia National Park in the other, and neither more than a 15-minute drive away – Snowdonia and Coast Glamping occupies a truly cracking location on a family-run hill farm. The original Welsh name, cae bach, means 'small field', though the site feels pleasantly spacious with room for just a handful of units to spread out and soak up those stunning mountain views.

Facilities are deliberately kept simple to preserve the peaceful atmosphere: a well-equipped communal kitchen with hob, microwave and fridge, plus a toilet block with showers. Campfires and barbecues are encouraged for cosy evenings under the stars, with firepits available to hire. The popular Lôn Eifion cycle path runs nearby for safe family rides, while the village of Penygroes, ten minutes' drive away, covers amenities. Dogs are welcome year-round, making this an ideal rural retreat for those seeking tranquillity over entertainment.

Had an amazing couple days here and will definitely be coming back for longer. The place was spotless and beautiful from the outside cooking area which had everything you need to the lovely fireplace in the middle of the room which you can see from the bed and couches really made the time we spent there cosy and romantic and the big bath just made it perfect for me. Hazel and Richard have done an outstanding job with the properties and are so friendly and attentive. Can't wait to come back.

We really loved the beautifully converted barn, especially the fireplace, which can be enjoyed from two sides. The outdoor kitchen features a fantastic electric grill that is incredibly versatile – perfect for barbecuing, warming bread rolls, reheating food, and much more. The bed is very comfortable, and the bathroom is luxuriously appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Many thanks to Hazel and Richard for their wonderful hospitality.

We had a beautiful stay in the shepherd’s hut — it was the perfect off-grid escape. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided, including the sauna, which was especially welcome after a day exploring the Welsh mountains. The outdoor kitchen was very well equipped with everything needed to self-cater for the weekend. The king-size bed was incredibly comfortable, and the quality of the linen, along with the attention to detail throughout both the washroom hut and living space, made the stay feel extra special and cosy. There was also plenty of solar lighting available whenever needed. Hazel and Richard were fantastic hosts, providing helpful information before our stay and being attentive throughout. The setting itself is so peaceful and tranquil, with a beautiful meadow in front of the cabins, plenty of wildlife to spot, and birdsong all around. We will definitely be returning — thank you for such a wonderful stay. Fran and Chris

We had a lovely couple of days in Star barn - couldn't have been better. We enjoyed the peace, walks from the door, birdsong, night skies, outdoor kitchen, log fire etc etc The barn was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. I particularly enjoyed being able to have a hot bath after a long walk. Really hope to be able to visit again
